Greg, I'll have to admit I'm enjoying the idea of frat boys slamming back roses during a competitive game of pink-pong. Let's see how we can get that going.

Thanks Ruarri, the weather is perfect here in Paris. It's making it hard to leave, but the Hamptons I imagine will be enjoyable weather as well.

ya, i think that roses and sparkling blush can take off in the US -- you'll probably see it more as a party drink than something you savor with a nice meal -- i can see it now, the toga wrapped frat boys chuggin down some pink rose after an intense game of beer... or better yet pink-pong. lolol, i know, im ridiculous

meghan, looking forward to more wine-your-diet posts from New York! the Hamptons huh?

too true Meghan - White Zinfandel has done for blush wines, what Paris Hilton has done for 'Paris' - in that its made something trashy and tasteless synonymous for one which in reality is refined and elegant. Its always interesting to see how very characteristic reds stand up to blush - and one can often understand a red better, if one samples the variety as a blush wine, as all the tannins are removed, but some fundamentail characteristics remain the same (for instance Pinotage Rose, which keeps the lush fruitiness of Pinotage in blush form - but when served ice-cold, makes Pinotage accessible in the summer.) It sometimes take making a mistake to stumble upon good fortune... I think that Rose has a ways to go in the US - but perhaps you could change that in the Hamptons over the summer! Enjoy your last weeks in Paris!
